Ronnie “Dean” Stone, 56, is now resting in peace, after a long battle with health issues, on Friday, November 27, 2020 at his home in Reidsville, NC.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00PM on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at Happy Home Church Cemetery. The family will visit with friends 30 minutes prior to service at the cemetery beginning at 12:30PM. Due to Covid-19, the family requests that all in attendance wear a mask and be considerate of social distancing.
Dean was born on July 19, 1964, in Rockingham County, to Pauline Stone Harbour and the late Raleigh Samuel Stone. He was known for his passion of NC State, Jimmy Buffett, and his love for the sea. Dean lived an exciting life, where he met a lot of celebrities while being a limousine driver and even played as a limo driver in a life-time movie; however he was most proud of driving for the “Make-A-Wish Foundation”. He will be remembered by many for his laugh, love, and his larger-than-life personality.
In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Henry and Katie Tate. Dean is survived by his son, Zach Stone; mother, Pauline Tate Harbour (Bain); sister, Angela Wood (Tommy); nieces, Kelly Cox (C.W.), Nicki Young; great-nephew, Dallas Cox; soon to be great-niece, Aubrey Faith; and his beloved cat, “Seven”.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Goodwill Primitive Baptist Church, 6601 Highway 700 Ruffin, NC 27326.
