Rosa Magdalene Gosney

Reidsville - Rosa Madelyn Gosney, formerly of 503 Parkway Blvd. died on Sunday, August 28, 2011 at The Summit in Lynchburg, VA.A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at Greenview Cemetery with Pastor James Hodges officiating.Miss Gosney was the youngest daughter of the late William Booker Gosney and Rosa Scruggs Gosney. She was a resident of Reidsville, NC before moving to Bentley Commons in Lynchburg and was a retired nurse anesthetist having worked in Chattanooga, Jacksonville, Norfolk, and Newport News. She was a member of the Burton Memorial Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her brother, Henry Gosney of Roanoke; and five sisters, Lessie Vaughan of Farmville, Beth Wilkerson of Lynchburg, Sally Nicholas of Madison Heights, Virginia Gosney and Ruth Ford both of Reidsville. She is survived by a longtime family friend Jerneata Dingle of Reidsville.There will be no formal visitation.
