Rose Marie Foster Jordan, 86, of 963 Flat Rock Road, Reidsville went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 15, 2024. She brought joy wherever she went, and heaven has gained a beautiful angel.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 21, 2024, at Fairview Baptist Church with Pastor Heath Lloyd officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the church and there will be a private burial at the Prospect United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Marie started her career as an accountant at the Ford dealership and later became the office manager at Harvey Vernon, Inc. A certified interior decorator, she was employed by Steinmart and had her own business. She was a master of needle art. She built her dream, Williamsburg home overlooking the lake and surrounded it with azaleas. Blessed as a Crew Chief, she and Gene won Division and National IHRA Championships.
Marie graduated from Bartlett Yancey High School and attended one year at UNCG. Growing up, she was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Yanceyville and after moving to Reidsville, Marie was a faithful member of Fairview Baptist Church.
She was born July 5, 1938, to the late Tom Franklin and Josie Slaughter Foster.
Marie is survived by her husband, Gene Jordan; her daughters Rose Rogers Woodall and husband Jerry of Yanceyville, NC and Catherine Rogers Jernigan of Sunset Beach, NC; grandchildren Bruce Woodall and wife Danielle, Trent Jernigan, and Jason Woodall; great grandsons Dominic, Jackson, and Justin; sister Jean F. Gwynn and husband Bill of Hickory, NC; sister-in-law Jan Foster of Concord; and many nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved. Along with her parents, she will be welcomed in Heaven by her grandson Jake Jernigan; son-in-law Tim Jernigan; sisters Blanche F. Page, and Glenna F. Steagall; and brother Tommy Foster.
The family would like to thank the wonderful nurses and staff at The Gibson House for their loving care of Marie during her time there.
