Rosina Joyce Chilton

Reidsville – Rosina Joyce Chilton, 83, of 2504 Sunnycrest Drive, died Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at her home. Funeral services will be held at Reidsville Alliance Church at 11:00 AM Friday, January 18, 2008 with Rev. Jim Liston officiating. Interment will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery. Rosina was born in Stokes County to the late Hardin and Rose Fryer Joyce and was a retiree of The American Tobacco Company with 35 years of service. For many years she won admiration for her fine catering at various occasions and enjoyed gardening, sewing and was active in hosting international students in her home. She was a member of Reidsville Alliance Church and cherished the fellowship of her friends there. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Ethel Hubbard, Febie Robertson and Edith Chattin; brothers, Lee Joyce and Oscar Joyce. Survivors include her husband, Drewey Chilton of the home; daughter, JoAnn Childress of Columbus, GA.; son, Clyde Sharpe and wife, Carolyn of Reidsville; stepdaughter, Sandra Southern of Reidsville; stepsons, Donald Wayne Chilton and wife, Fran of Pensacola, FL., Gary Chilton and wife, Martha of Greensboro; five grandchildren; seven step grandchildren; six great grandchildren; nine step great grandchildren; brother, Nick Joyce of Stoneville; sister, Evelyn Massey and husband, Robert of Reidsville; numerous nieces and nephews The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral home on Thursday, January 17, from 6-8 PM and other times at the residence.
