Roy Martin

Roy Martin, 81, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 24, 2019 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at East Side Baptist Church with Rev. Gene Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at East Side Baptist Church one hour prior to the service from 2-3 PM. Roy was born in Rockingham County to the late Stafford and Annie Doyle Martin. He was a veteran of the US Army and an owner/operator in Trucking. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Edna Earl Busick Martin, brothers, James Martin and Troy Martin and sister, Thelma Hubbard. He is survived by his sister, Sylvia Evans and husband, Bill and brother, Bill Martin and wife, Tyra; step sons, Steve Manley and wife, Debbie and Gary Manley; special niece, Barbara Perry and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
