Roy Grover Presnell

Reidsville - Roy Grover Presnell, 86, of 236 Gilmer Street, Belvedere Apts. #25, passed away on January 30, 2012 at his residence.A graveside service will be held Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at Reidlawn Cemetery at 3:00 PM, with David Bledsoe officiating. The Rockingham Honor Guard will perform the military rites. Pallbearers will be Kenny Johnson, Charles Coleman, Johnny Coleman, Ricky Coleman, CJ Coleman, Chris Paschal, Robert Branch, Eddie Coleman and Donnie Paschal.Roy was born in Wautauga County, N.C. to the late Charlie and Delphia Ward Presnell. He served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rosa Lee Coleman Presnell, infant son, brother, Harmon Presnell and sister, Pricilla Presnell.He leaves behind his children, Carol Overton and husband, Louis of Ruffin, Lee Presnell and wife, Rhonda, of Ruffin, Vickie Presnell and partner, Patty Collins of Harrisonburg, Va; grandchildren, Victor Barrett, Jeanna and Jose' Bahena; Jessi, Katie and Travis Presnell; great grandchildren, Avery Call (daughter of Jessi,) Josie Cobb (daughter of Jeanna) and Kloe Penn (granddaughter of Carol) and special friend, Virginia Branch.The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 31, 2012, at Wilkerson Funeral Home from 7-9 PM and other times at the home of Lee Presnell, 248 Arrowhead Road.
