Ruby Fulton Stanley

Reidsville – Ruby Fulton Stanley, 92, formerly of 1410 Woodside Drive in Reidsville passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 10, 2010 at Moses Cone Hospital. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at Faith Christian Church with Rev. Cleveland Duke officiating. The interment will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery. Mrs. Stanley was born in Rockingham County, to the late Jesse L. and Judy Hodges Fulton. She was of the Baptist faith and a faithful member of Faith Christian Church. Ruby loved her God and was very active in the church as a Sunday school teacher, deaconess, and a member of the of the Faith Christian Church Women’s Circle # 3. She loved to watch her birds that came to feed at the bird feeders that she provided for them. Among all things she was a very caring person that took care of her mother and father-in-law for many years. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, C. Clifton Stanley; sisters; Thelma F. Smith, Era F. Wray, Dorothy F. Tolbert; brothers, Morris “Pete” Fulton and Rev. Willard U. Fulton. Ruby is survived by her beloved niece and loving caregiver, Gina Carter and husband, Larry Ken Carter; numerous nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Frances H. Fulton and dear beloved friend, Lib Williams. The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 13 at Wilkerson Funeral Home from 11 A.M. – 1:00 PM and other times at the home of the niece, Gina Carter, 1264 Town Creek Road, Eden. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions made in Ruby’s honor to Faith Christian Church, 2407 Richardson Drive, Reidsville, North Carolina 27320. The family wishes to give a special thank you to all of the doctors, nurses, and nurses aides of Golden Living Center of Greensboro for the kind loving care that they gave our Aunt Ruby.
