Ruth Gauldin Garrett

Reidsville: Ruth Gauldin Garrett went home to be with the Lord on June 19, 2019. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Danville Memorial Gardens with Rev. Ron Tuck officiating. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home in Reidsville NC from 6-8 PM on Friday, June 21, 2019. Ruth was born in Pittsylvania County, VA to the late Oakley Samuel and Beulah Myrtle Gauldin. She retired from Dan River Mills after many years of service; she loved BINGO, going to the beach, playing cards and watching wrestling. Most of all she loved her family. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Garrett; son, Scott Garrett; two great grandsons, Chance Wilson and Chase Reynolds; Brothers, Robert Greer, Jack Greer, Jimmy Greer and SJ Gauldin. She is survived by her children, Linda Wilson (Raymond) of Reidsville, Joyce Tate (Ronnie) of Danville, Vickie Hall (Burton) of Cascade and Joseph Garrett (Suzanne) of Virginia Beach; grandchildren, Chris Wilson, Ginger Wharton, Ronnie Tate Jr., Diane Johnson and Jimmy Oakes; great grandchildren, Zoey, Shiloh, Dallas, Megan, Morgan, Hannah, Dillion and Journie; sisters, Kathleen Saunders and Mae Tate and sister-in-law, Virginia Gauldin.
