Ruth Hall Gunn

Reidsville - Ruth Hall Gunn, 84, passed away, Saturday, December 31, 2011 at Avante Nursing Home.A private memorial service will be held at a later time.Mrs. Gunn was born in Rockingham County on September 23, 1927 to the late John and Bonnie Tranthum Hall. She was of the Baptist faith. She was a wonderful, loving mother that made great sacrifices for her family. Ruth was very unique because of her sense of humor and her love to help others in need. She was a very kind hearted person that loved living life to the fullest but most of all she loved her family and especially her only grandson, Tommy. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, J.T. Gunn; sisters, Mildred Thacker, Vera Chilton and Gladys Kerns. Ruth is survived by her daughter, Judith Kimbro and husband, Gary; and grandson, Tommy Mansfield all of Reidsville. The family will like to express their great appreciation to Nurse Practitioner, Tammy Lewis for the love and care that she gave Mrs. Gunn. There will not be a formal visitation.In Lieu of flowers or memorial contributions, Ruth has requested that you do something nice for someone else as she did in her life.
