Ruth Miles Moore

Bethany: Ruth Miles “Mama Ruth” Moore, 84, of 5901 Hwy 65, Bethany Community, passed away Sunday January 11, 2009 at Hospice Home of Rockingham County surrounded by her beloved family. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at New Lebanon Christian Church with Rev. Mark Harris and Rev. Charles Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Scott Tickle, Stephen Tickle, Jonathan Moore, Bobby Powell, Bradley Warren, Jeffrey Warren, Jerry Garrison and Carl Garrison. “Mama Ruth” was born in Guilford County to the late Mike B. and Luola Gann Miles and was a homemaker. She was a member of New Lebanon Christian Church, a member of Circle 1, a choir member and active with the Awana program. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Moore; brother, Bill Miles and sister, Becky McCollum. Survivors include her sons, Thomas R. Moore and wife, Brenda, Michael S Moore and wife, Amanda; daughters, Barbara M. Tickle and husband, Danny all of Reidsville and Faye M. Warren of Greensboro; grandchildren, Michelle W. Arias, Jeffrey Warren, Scott Tickle, Bradley Warren, Jennifer Powell, Stephen Tickle, Jonathan Moore, Jacob Moore, Lucas Moore and Nicholas Moore; great grandchildren, Alex Warren, Max Warren, Avery Tickle, Tyler Powell, Lane Powell, Gavin Tickle, Aiden Tickle, Jocelyn Arias and Vince Warren; sisters Dorothy Burick of Summerfield and Margie McDonald of Pleasant Garden. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening at Wilkerson Funeral Home from 6-8 PM and other times at the home of her daughter, Barbara Tickle, 227 Ralph E Road.
