Sandra Gaye Mayberry

Goldsboro– Sandra Gaye Mayberry, 53, formerly of Lawsonville Ave. in Reidsville, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 24, 2012, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro, NC. Funeral services will by held on Friday, December 28, 2012 at 9:00 A.M. at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Rev. Glenn Mills, Rev. Kenny Daniels and Rev. Bill Rector officiating. The burial will follow in Fairview United Methodist Church Cemetery in Wytheville, VA. Miss Mayberry was born in Hampton, Virginia to the late Oid and Virginia Shanahan Mayberry. She was employed at Metzeler Automotive and she attended New Life Fellowship in Wentworth and Highest Praises Tabernacle in Goldsboro. Sandra never met a stranger and was always friendly to everyone. Her gentle, caring spirit shined bright through her which was one of the many gifts God gave to her. She loved like no other and genuinely loved like Jesus would. She is survived by her daughter, Courtney Mayberry of Ridgeway, VA; sisters, Vickie Shelton and husband, Leslie of Biloxi, MS, Shelia Burton and husband, Dale of Haven, FL, Brenda Taylor of Selma, NC, and Jessie Schmidt and husband, Joey, of Hendersonville, TN; numerous nieces and nephews, and extended family. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Wilkerson Funeral Home from 6 to 8 PM.
