Sandra Joan Miles

Sandra Joan Miles, 63, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 after a lengthy illness. A graveside service will be held at Reidlawn Cemetery on Saturday January 14, 2021 at 2 PM with Rev. Jonathan Brake officiating. Joan was born to the late Marvin Elmer Trent and Lucille Elizabeth Carter Trent. She worked at the Carolina Equine Hospital in Brown Summit, where she was a receptionist and was able to foster her lifelong love of horses and animals. Joan is survived by her siblings, Patricia Trent Hubbard and Marvin Wayne Trent; her niece, Julia Elizabeth Noel (Nick) and daughter Reese; her nephew, David Wayne Trent; plus her companion of many years, Leon B. Smith. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her honor to Woodmont Methodist Church, 1926 Richardson Dr, Reidsville, NC; Horsepower Therapeutic Learning Center at www.horsepower.org; or the Charity of your choice.
