Sara "Pete" Elizabeth Turner

Reidsville– Sara Elizabeth “Pete” Turner of 816 Crescent Drive, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 28, 2012 at her home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, October 1, 2012 at Greenview Cemetery with Dr. Douglas McLeroy officiating. The family will see friends following the service. Pete was born in Reidsville on December 10, 1923 to the late Guy and Annie Daniel Turner. She graduated from Reidsville public schools, worked as a clerk and bookkeeper, and was an active member of First Presbyterian Church throughout her life. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Guy Turner, Jr. who was killed in the Italian campaign during World War II, by her aunt Mary Daniel James and her two uncles Frederick Daniel and William Daniel and her cousin The Rev. Alves Daniel. Survivors include her cousins, Nancy Daniel Malloy of Atlanta, Georgia and William Daniel, Jr. of Rock Hill, SC. Memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 318 S.
