Sara Tucker Mims-Thompson

Sara Tucker Mims-Thompson, 85, of Reidsville, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, December 21, 2018 at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Pastor Sandy Brown officiating. Burial will follow at the Gibsonville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and other times at the home of her sister Marie Howell. Sara was born in Rockingham County to the late George Washington Tucker and Minnie Cillar Williams Tucker. She loved French fries, babies, the beach, flowers and cooking. She was a true people person, always serving others. She had a special love for her dog Kugo but most of all she loved her God and her family. “Granny Sara” will be greatly missed. Along with her parents, Sara was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years Ernest Daniel Mims; brother, John Thomas Tucker; sisters, Mary Katherine Reynolds and Marsha Renee Baker. Mrs. Mims-Thompson is survived by her husband of 19 years Joe Thompson; son, Joey Mims; siblings, George Herbert Tucker (Shirley), Rainey Tucker (Pat), Jean Shoe, Marie Howell, Irene Baker (Gary), Teresa Allred (Larry),Wayne Tucker (Linda) and brother in law, Dale Baker as well as numerous nieces, nephews and a large extended family.
