Sarah Strader Hill

Sarah Strader Hill, 90, went home to be with her Lord on December 2, 2018 at the Rockingham County Hospice House. Sarah was a lifelong resident of Reidsville, NC. She graduated from Ruffin High School in 1945 and then attended High Point College. She retired from the City of Reidsville after a thirty year career. Sarah is survived by her daughter, Marcine Hill Causey and her husband Dennis; brother, Billy Strader; granddaughter, Amy Jordan and her husband, James and children, Reese and Jack; granddaughter Caron Lye and her husband, Jamie and children, Matthew and Katie, as well as a niece and several nephews. She is predeceased by her husband, Morris Jones Hill; her brothers, TB, Harold and Ralph Strader, and her parents, Tom and Annie Strader. She loved her Lord and demonstrated that love through her faithful service to First United Methodist Church of Reidsville. After retiring, she enjoyed playing bridge, traveling and serving her community through Meals on Wheels, the Reidsville Soup Kitchen and the Annie Penn Hospital Guild. Sarah was famous for her desserts and brightened many homes with gifts from her kitchen. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Wednesday, December 5th at 1:00 pm at Mount Carmel United Methodist Church, 361 Mt. Carmel Church Road, Reidsville, NC 27320. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Rockingham County, P.O.
