Sarah Lou-Ennis Griffin Durham

Summerfield: Sarah Lou-Enis Griffin Durham, 94, of 1317 Brown Road, went home to be with The Lord on Monday, November 12, 2018 at her home. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 16, 2018 at Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall and other times at 1277 Brown Road, Summerfield, NC 27358. Mrs. Durham was born in Rockingham County to the late, Thomas and Clara Holland Griffin. She had a servant heart and was a dedicated, loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was an avid reader and quilter. Mrs. Durham enjoyed gospel music and traveling, especially to the Amish Country. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Luther Allen Durham; her grandchildren, Connie Yates and James Durham, Jr.; and 7 sisters and brothers. She is survived by her sons, James Durham and wife, Kay of Reidsville, John Durham of Gibsonville and Lynn Durham and wife, Geneva of Summerfield; 12 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; her brother, Dillard “Dee” Griffin and wife, Linda of Reidsville; her sister-in-law, Doris Griffin and a large extended family.
