Sharie Jones Browne

Eden: Sharie Jones Browne, 71, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 after a courageous nine month battle due to complications from an accident occurring at her home. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, March 7, 2013 at First Baptist Church of Eden with Rev. Craig Bowman officiating. The family will receive friends at the church after the service and a private committal will follow in Overlook Cemetery. Sharie was born in Rockingham County. She was a faithful Christian serving over the years at both First Presbyterian Church of Eden and First Baptist Church of Eden. Her beautiful yard was a true indication of her love for flowers and gardening. She loved her family especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Marcella Woods; her sister, Marcia Woods; and her grandmother, Bertha Cox. She is survived by her son, Todd Shoe and wife, Sharon of Greensboro; her grandsons, Nathan Shoe and Ryan Rush; her siblings, Fonda Gantt and husband, Lonnie, Seadonia Bowling and husband, CV, Robin Odell, Jimmy Jones and Jerome Woods and wife, Barbara; and numerous nieces and nephews.
