Shelby Christine Fincanon Pruitt

Eden: Shelby Christine Fincanon Pruitt, 64, of 161 Empire Drive, Eden, died on Tuesday, February 25, 2014, at her home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, on Friday, February 28, 2014 at Calvary Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Jackie Talton officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Shelby Christine Pruitt was born on August 28, 1949, in Roxboro, NC to William Frank and Mary Jane Culley Fincanon. She was a member of Calvary Hill Baptist Church. She worked at the Brian Center in Eden and later worked as a phlebotomist for The American Red Cross. She loved the beach and loved spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Clyde Pruitt, her mother, Mary Jane Fincanon and a brother, Ronnie Wayne Fincanon. Survivors include her sons, Robert Frank Pruitt of Eden and Nelson Eugene Pruitt of Eden; her grandson, Russell Bryan Keith; her father, William Frank Fincanon, Sr. of Reidsville; a brother, William F. Fincanon, Jr. and wife Tina of Gibsonville; a sister-in-law, Norma Jean Fincanon of Eden; several nieces and nephews and special great nephew, Brayln Ayers. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Thursday, February 27, 2014, at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
