Click Here to View Memorial VideoReidsville: Shirley Ann Miller, 71, of 1189 Grooms Road, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday September 19, 2013 at her home. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM on Monday, September 23, 2013 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Junior Kennon officiating. The burial will follow at Reidlawn Cemetery. Mrs. Miller was born in Rockingham County to the late, John E. and Nina Jackson Apple. She was a homemaker and a longtime member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her family was her greatest priority. Over the years, Shirley had the opportunity to travel across the country on bus tours with her mother. She also camped with Jimmy at many different lakes in North Carolina. Mrs. Miller is survived by her husband, Jimmy Miller of the home; her sons, Jonathan Leon Wood and Jeffrey Miller and wife, Cindy; daughters, Rhonda Wood Somers and husband, Boyd and Jennifer Wood Bates and husband, Timothy all of Reidsville; grandchildren, Chris Wilson, Whitney Wilson, Caitlyn Wood, Callie Wood, Timmy Bates, Jr., Ryan Bates, Mike Bates, Danny Bates, Keisha Setliff, Leslie Miller, Brittany Miller, Kristin Somers and Morgan Somers; seven great grandchildren; sister, Cathy A. Stone; brothers, Ronald Apple and wife, Sandra and Wayne Apple all of Reidsville and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Sunday, September 22 at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at Jennifer’s home (1101 Cypress Dr.)
