Shirley Anne Curran

Reidsville: Shirley Anne Curran, 82, passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 of natural causes at Avante Nursing Facility in Reidsville, NC Shirley was born October 3, 1934 in Rockingham County to the late James Curran, Sr. and Annie Sprinkle Curran. A graduate of UNC-Greensboro, she went on to earn a PhD in psychology from Pennsylvania State University. Her successful career was focused on clinical psychology, private practice and teaching. She was a voracious reader, dedicated animal lover, lifelong academician, and constant seeker of knowledge. Her lifelong motto was “To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.” She will be happily remembered. Shirley is survived by her children: Colin Lublin of La Crescenta, California, Andrea Korpi of Reidsville, NC, and Patrick Lublin of Austin, Texas; grandchildren: Amanda Korpi, Donovan Lublin and Julian Lublin; and a brother, Rollin Curran of Reidsville, NC.
