Shirley Williams Harris

Reidsville – Shirley Williams Harris, 81, of 1106 Walnut Street, passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at her home with her family by her side. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Monday June 6, 2016 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Floyd Repass and Rev. Bran Aldridge officiating. Interment will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery. Shirley was born in Stokes County to the late Robert and Pearl Hurd Williams and was a retiree of Annie Penn Hospital. She had a great love for the Lord and was very active at College Park Baptist Church where she was a member. Shirley was an extremely kindhearted person and a devoted wife and mother who was very much loved by her children. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Ruby Harrison and brothers, Howard Williams, Thomas Williams, Ted Williams and C.B.Williams. Survivors include her husband, Dewey “Pete” Harris; daughter, Sherry Layne and husband, Caleb; sons, Mark Harris and wife, Lisa and Scott Harris and wife, Alisa; grandchildren, Brandy Law and husband, Jeff, Brooke Ross and husband, Will, Stephen Harris, Shannon Harris and Brendon, Mason and Reagan Harris; great grandchildren, Dylan Law, Jake Law, Caroline Ross and Pete Ross; brother, George Williams and sisters, Mary Lee Miller and Joyann Lamberth The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 6-8 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
