Shirley Stone Moore

Reidsville- Shirley Stone Moore, 73, of 2087 Hwy 29 Business, Reidsville, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 10, 2009 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2009, at 2:00 PM at Reidsville Alliance Church Rev. Lynn Long officiating. The burial will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens. The pallbearers will be Jami Moore, Dwight Blackstock, Kenneth, Wayne and Roger Billingsley and Pearse L. Mathewson, III.Mrs. Moore was a native of Guilford County, and was the daughter of the late Arthur Lee and Allonie Knighten Stone. She was a homemaker and a lifelong member of the Reidsville Alliance Church. She was an avid doll collector and adored children. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by six brothers and sisters.She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Ralph Moore of the home; daughters, Pamela J. Moore, Angelia N. Blackstock and husband, Dwight and Christy M. Saunders all of Reidsville; grandchildren, Jami Moore, Jerrick, Desiree and Christian Blackstock, and Amanda Decker; her brother, Thomas C. Stone and wife, Vernie; her sisters, Louise Billingsley and husband, JT, Ruby Griffin and Lola Mae Coe all of Reidsville; and numerous nieces and nephews..The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 12th from 7:00 -9:00 PM and other times at her residence.
