Smitty "Joe" Buffkin

Smitty “Joe” Buffkin, 66, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at the Rockingham County Hospice Home. The family will have a private burial at Greenview Cemetery. Joe was born in Loris, SC to the late Clayton Roy Buffkin and Hazel Norris Buffkin. He had spent the last 25 years in Reidsville and worked as automobile salesman . He loved fishing with his brothers, Larry and Eddie, NASCAR and shooting Pool. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by siblings, Jimmy L. Buffkin, Carolyn B. Semk, Stevie R., Milton and Tammy L. Buffkin. He is survived by his son, Shane Buffkin and wife, April; grandchildren, Drake and Madison Buffkin; siblings, Billy, Donnie and Barbara “Bobbie” Nobles, Patsy R. Carroll, Danny Russell “Tadpole”, Mike, Larry, Miles and Glenn Gary Buffkin, Kathy Lynn Guenther and Elvis “Eddie” Buffkin. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to help assist with funeral expenses.
