Stanley Earl Shaw

Brown Summitt: Stanley Earl Shaw, 84, of 8198 Portage Rd., passed away on Tuesday morning, November 4, 2014 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, November 8, 2014, at Osceola Baptist Church with Rev. Randall Shaw officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Stanley was a native of Brooklyn, New York and was born on November 25, 1929, to the late Dudley Stanley Shaw and Elsie Louella Wade Shaw. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased in death by a sister. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was very active in the Hauppauge Fire Department in Long Island, New York, for 21 years. He was employed for many years with the state hospital. He is survived by his wife, Elsie Shaw; children, Robert Shaw and wife Nancy, Stanley Shaw, Jr. and wife Debbie, Linda S. Torres and husband Chris, Cheryl Reeves and husband Mike and Laura S. Doherty and husband Martin; a brother, Robert E. Shaw; grandchildren, Robert Shaw, Matthew Shaw, Eric Shaw, Katie Shaw, Amie Shaw Waddle, Krista Shaw, Joshua Shaw, Rebecca Shaw Cocke, Jacob Lynch, Conor Doherty and ElsieLee Doherty; and thirteen great grandchildren. The family will receive friends and family on Friday evening November 7, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times the family will be at the home.
