Reidsville: Steve Madison Brown, 66, of 1871 US Highway 29 Business, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 28, 2018, at Annie Penn Hospital.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M., on Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Rev. Mickey Alcorn officiating. The burial will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M., on Monday at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
Steve was born on March 30, 1952, in Rockingham County to the late Obie Madison Brown and Geraldine Brown Newby. He was a Reidsville firefighter and worked for Miller Brewing Company where he retired after more than 30 years. He enjoyed the outdoors and he loved to travel. Steve was quick to buy and sell most anything and enjoyed collecting antiques; however, his biggest love was his family, especially his two daughters. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and rarely missed a baseball game or a birthday party.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Sherry Brown.
Steve is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Cooper and husband Blake and Katie Lee and husband Keatts; his grandchildren, Dakota Madison Cooper, Colby Andrew Cooper, Parks Madison Lee and Salem Grey Lee, and his sisters, Judy Byrd, Patsy Wagoner and Lisa Adkins and husband Bobby.
