Steven Ray Strutton

Eden: Mr. Steven Ray Strutton, 67, of Eden, passed away on Saturday, November 2nd, 2013 at Hospice Home of Rockingham County. Mr. Strutton was born on March 29th, 1946 in Rockingham County to the late Qucell and Frances Taylor Strutton. He served in the United States Air Force and was a member of Wentworth Presbyterian Church. Steve was a retired mechanic with Rexam Can Plant in Winston-Salem. He was an avid golfer and bowler. Steve is survived by his wife, Joan Strutton of the home; two brothers, Darrell Strutton of Eden and Jay Strutton and wife Seany of Conway, South Carolina; his canine companions, Rosie and B.J. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 6th, 2013 at eleven o’clock at Wentworth Presbyterian Church. Rev. Marty Brim will officiate. Military honors will follow the service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choosing.
