Sue Hardy Jackson, 82, of Reidsville went home to be with the Lord on May 12, 2020 at her home.
A private graveside service will be held for family and friends on Friday, May 15, 2020 at Ruffin Cemetery with her pastor, Dr. Ron Tuck and Pastor Tommy Massey officiating. We will continue to ask family and friends to maintain social distancing at the service.
Mrs. Jackson was born to the late Andrew and Ola Chumley Hardy. She was a faithful member of Lawsonville Road Baptist Church. She retired from American Tobacco Company with over 20 years of service. She especially enjoyed cooking and sharing her wonderful fried pies, pound cakes and chess pies! There was usually a run on whatever she had for sale at the Farmers Market. Her many interests included flowers, cooking, gardening, dancing, canning and Gospel music. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Otis Wesley Jackson; sisters, Dora Gammon, Edna Hudson, Clem Toler and Ann Clyburn; brothers, Seward Hardy, Dillard Hardy, Harvey Hardy and Curtis “Bud” Hardy.
Mrs. Jackson is survived by her daughter, Tangela Holcomb and husband, John; grandchildren, Brittany Lynn, Clint Holcomb and wife, Rachel and Landon Holcomb; sister, Nell Lillard; “like a sister” niece, Geraldine Smith; special friends, Larry Lucas, Ronnie Price and extended family.
