Susan Denise Gauldin

Susan Denise Gauldin, 63, passed away on September 14, 2017 at Beacon Place-Hospice Home in Greensboro. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, September 18, 2017 at Maple Lawn Baptist Church with Rev. Darrell Boles, Rev. Rick Church and Rev. Daniel Church officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Lawn Baptist Church Cemetery. Denise was born in Rockingham County to the late Jim Curtis Tickle and Margaret Moore Tickle. She never met a stranger and her conversation usually gravitated to Jesus Christ. She was the most kind and caring person that one could meet. Denise was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and the family was the center of her life. Her hobbies included camping and fishing with Mike and was participating in helping children with Camp Carefree and other organizations that benefited children. Survivors include her husband, John Michael “Mike” Gauldin of the home; children: Susan Darleene Norman of Eden, Catherine (Katie) Marie Gauldin and husband, Jason Lackey of Reidsville and Gary Wayne Gauldin of Eden; grandchildren: Tommy Gauldin and Kayla Norman; two great grandchildren: Hayden and Hailey Gauldin; sisters: Joyce Tickle Church and husband, Rick of Summerfield and Karen Tickle Tillman and husband, Tommy of Greensboro; brother, Alan Curtis Tickle and wife, Jan of McLeansville; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 16, 2017 from 6:00 till 8:00 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at 911 Seymour Court, Eden, NC. In lieu of flowers the family asks for contributions toward the expenses of the funeral to Wilkerson Funeral Home, 1909 Richardson Drive, Reidsville, NC 27320.
