Susan Kemp Nelson

Susan Kemp Nelson, 52, passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday afternoon, July 21, 2019 at 3:00 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Tuck officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Susan was born on September 19, 1966 in Rockingham County to the late David Porter Kemp Sr. and Linda Lou Martin Kemp. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Susan was independent but very outgoing person that loved being around her friends and family. Her grandchildren were everything to her and cherished them greatly as she spoiled each one. Along with her parents, Mrs. Nelson was preceded in death by her sister, Cindy Ann Kemp. Survivors include her husband, David Nelson of the home; daughter, Jessica Nelson of Ruffin; son, Joseph Tyler Nelson of Eden; grandchildren: Jayden Gauldin, Kendall Scales, and Karson Doss; brother, David Porter Kemp Jr.and wife, Susan; sister, Terry Kemp Witty and husband, Johnny of Reidsville; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial donations may be made to the cemetery fund at Mount Carmel United Methodist Church, 361 Mt. Carmel Church Road, Reidsville, NC 27320
