Susan "Susie" Toler Lovelace

Susan “Susie” Toler Lovelace, 66, of 901 County Line Road, went home to be with The Lord Monday, January 3, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Friday, January 6, 2023, at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Preacher Ricky Garrett officiating. The burial will follow at Evergreen Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 5, 2023, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the home.

Susie was born in Danville, VA and was the daughter of the late Claude Toler and Hilda Osborne Pruitt. She was a member of the Lord’s House of Prayer Baptist Church. Susie worked for Williams Trull for over 20 years and later for Scott’s Tractor. She loved mowing her yard, making quilts and cooking for family and friends for everyone to enjoy the wonderful food and fun times together, especially Christmas, her favorite time of year. Her precious corgi, Katy preceded her in death. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers Wayne Toler and John Toler.

Susie is survived by her loving husband, John I. Lovelace; daughter Tanya Chilton (Jason); stepsons Johnny Lovelace (Jenifer), Chris Lovelace (Angie), and Jerel Lovelace (Deana); grandchildren Breanna Chilton, John Lovelace, Jonathan McNealy, Justin Lovelace, Gracie Lovelace, Jace Lovelace, Kaytlynn Lovelace, and Andrew Lovelace; 3 great grandchildren; sisters Joan Daniel, Kay Chambers (Roger), Fran Moore, and Virginia Manring (Ken); brother Cam Toler (Julie); and a large extended family.
