Sylvia Wilson Echols

Reidsville: Sylvia Wilson Echols, 63, of 264 Rockingham Lake Road, died Friday evening, May 22, 2009 at her home. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 25, 2:00 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Rev. Rudy Woods officiating. The burial will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Sylvia was born in Rockingham County and was the daughter of the late Norman and Florence Paschal Wilson. She was employed at Equity Meats of Reidsville and attended Oasis Baptist Church of Madison, NC. She was very generous and kindhearted and a wonderful homemaker. Sylvia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Lawrence, Ellison, Cecil and Roger \"Bud\" Wilson and her sister, Dora \"Sissy\" Wilson. She is survived by her husband, James Echols of the home; sons, Mike Echols and wife, Liz and Paul Echols; her daughter, Cindy Echols all of Reidsville; her grandchildren, C.J. Echols, Ashley Belton and Taylor Zbynski; her great granddaughter, Savannah Belton; her brothers, Paul Wilson, Lonnie \"Ronnie\" Wilson and wife, Carolyn; her sisters, Maude Denny and husband, James and Ruby Echols and husband, Joe all of Reidsville; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend Mike Land.The family will receive friends, Sunday, May 24, 7:00 - 9:00 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
