Tara Ashley Manley, 28, of Charlotte, NC, passed away July 29th, 2013.
Tara was born on a beautiful, sunny spring day in Phoenix, Arizona, April 13, 1985. At an early age Tara learned to swim and loved the water - be it the ocean, the lake, a pool or a bathtub. Tara never the left the house EVER, without a bathing suit tucked in her purse or under her clothes.
Tara was a born traveler. Throughout her life she lived in Willamette, Illinois, Highlands Ranch, Colorado, Greensboro, Wilmington and Charlotte, NC. Tara was a child at heart who believed in Santa Claus, loved Halloween, and any other occasion to dress up…That never changed.
She was an expert skier who loved tucking her poles and flying down the mountain. Tara graduated from Northwest High School in Greensboro, NC in 2003, and from UNC – Charlotte in 2007 with a BS in Accounting, a BS in Finance, and a minor in psychology. She loved numbers and had a beautiful mind.
Tara loved music, dancing, singing and playing the guitar – teaching herself songs by ear. Tara loved guitar hero, dance dance and being on Lake Norman. She was a great photographer and had an eye for detail.
Tara was a loving daughter to Robin and Brian Manley, and was adored by her sister Tristan Manley. Tara leaves behind her faithful companions, T-Rexx and Petri.
A celebration of Tara’s life will be held on Sunday, August 11th at the Belk Chapel at 3:00PM, located at Queens University, 1900 Selwyn Avenue, Charlotte. NC 28207, 704-337-2200. Dress is casual. Tara loved photographs, and we ask friends to please bring a photo of Tara to put on a bulletin board as you arrive at the celebration.
