Chatham County – Thelma Pendergrass Allred, 90, of Siler City passed away on Saturday, May 8, 2010.A Memorial service will be held at a later time.Mrs. Allred was born one of twelve children on March 30, 1920 to the late Joseph M. and Nannie Belle Thomas Pendergrass. Thelma was a member of First Baptist Church of Siler City. She was a loving mother and wife that loved all of her family. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.Thelma is survived by her beloved husband of 70 years, Edward J. Allred, daughters; Martha “Marty” Allred Keith and husband, Preston of Greensboro and Lou Early and husband, Wallace of Reidsville; sisters, Sallie P. Ward and Patsy P. Kirchhoff and several very special nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.At this time there will not be a formal visitation.In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her honor to a charity of the donor’s choice.
