Theora Layton Walker

Burlington- Theora Layton Walker, 82, of 7675 Flower Road, Elon, died Sunday, February 3, 2008, at Hospice Home of Alamance County. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM , Wednesday, February 6, 2008, at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Marsh officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Mrs. Walker was born in Vermillon County, Il to the late John E. and Dorothy Howe Layton. She was a member of Ossipee Baptist Church and was retired from the Guilford County Schools as a guidance counselor. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death of her husband, Cliffoot E. Walker. She is survived by her sons, Jack Iwaniec and wife Peggy, of Elon, Paul Iwaniec, of Greensboro and Randy Iwaniec of New York; 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and brothers, Bob and John Layton , both of Fl. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 5, 2008 from 6 to 8 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the residence. Wilkerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
