Thomas Jackson "Jack" Clifton

Thomas Jackson “Jack” Clifton, 83, of Reidsville, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 31, 2021.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at Burton Memorial Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Ronnie Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Jack was born in Rockingham County to the late Ernest and Lelia Clifton. He served his country in the US Army and retired from Burlington Industries in Reidsville. He was a longtime member at Burton Memorial Missionary Baptist Church, where he was a deacon, grounds keeper, choir member, trustee, member of the Baptist Men and served in any capacity that was needed. In addition to his full time job he had a landscaping business and also did painting. He could always be found at Sanitary Cafe or Reid’s House and was an avid coon and rabbit hunter.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Elaine Clifton Kallam; brothers, Marvin, Leon and Wayne Clifton.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jo Clifton; daughter, Lori Brame and husband, Rick; grandchildren, Richie Paschal, Kelsey Chambers and husband, Ricky Joe and Luke Brame; great grandchildren, Easton and Levi Chambers; sisters, Linda Clifton and Vivian Thompson; and special friend, Wayne Paschal.
