Thomas Earl Washburn

Reidsville – Thomas Earl Washburn, 56, passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2017. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM on Friday, December 1, 2017 at the Reidsville Alliance Church with Rev. Peter Dodge officiating and the burial will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church and other times at 110 Washburn Lake Road. Earl was born in Rockingham County and was formerly employed with B&G Glass for over 15 years. He was an avid race fan and loved every aspect of racing. He raced at 311 Speedway for many years and won many events. He loved his family and he especially adored his grandson, Rod and canine friend, Saddie. Earl was preceded in death by his mother, Jean Inman Washburn. Earl is survived by his wife, Tammy Washburn; his son, Joey Washburn; his grandson, Rod Washburn; his father, Numa “NG” Washburn, Jr. all of Reidsville; his sisters, Brenda Washburn Hill of Mayodan and Debra Washburn Billingsley and husband, Kenneth of Reidsville; his brothers, Ron Washburn and wife, Barbara of Atlanta, GA and Kenny Washburn and wife, Vickie of Reidsville; numerous nieces and nephews and a large extended family.
