Thomas Moro Holderby

Thomas Moro Holderby, Jr. Formerly of Pinehurst, NC, passed away June 11th 2016 at Transitions Hospice Home of Raleigh. Born in Ruffin, NC in 1935, he graduated 1959 from VA Tech as a member of Alpha Kappa Psi. Tom was a veteran who proudly served 2 1/2 years in the Army. He retired in1992 from Exxon Mobile Corporation after 30 years in the Marketing Department. Tom is survived by his wife of 52 years Lynda Johnston Holderby and 2 children; Stephanie L. Holderby of Birmingham, AL and Benjamin P. Holderby of Raleigh, NC, daughter-in-law Shamesa L. Holderby and 2 grandchildren Alexis Elizabeth and Matthew Thomas Holderby. He was preceded in death by his father and mother Thomas M. and Ollie Haynes Holderby and his three sisters, Deborah Saunders, Nancy French and Mary Sue Driscoll. Services will be held Tuesday, June 14th at 11:00 am at Ruffin United Methodist Church in Ruffin, NC with burial to follow in Ruffin Community Cemetery.
