Thomas "Arnold" Simpson

Thomas “Arnold” Simpson passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at Rockingham County Hospice Home (Gibson House).

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dennis Chapmon officiating. The family will see friends following the service from 7:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Arnold was born in Rockingham County to the late Thomas and Beatrice Burge Simpson. He was a gifted musician and performer and he had a special love for playing the guitar.   Arnold enjoyed sports and was an avid Atlanta Braves and Carolina Panthers fan.  He loved spending time with his grandchildren and family. Being the life of the party, he was always up for a good time.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Diane Compton, and brother, Ray Simpson.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughters, Melissa Howell (husband, Dwayne) and Sabrina Mueller (husband, Steven); grandchildren Valerie Howell and Anna Mueller; mother of his daughters, Debbie Sanders; brother, Michael Simpson, and sister, Melinda Simpson; many nieces and nephews; special friend, Kenny Brakefield and many beloved friends including his “Dalins.”

In lieu of flowers, the family requests for donations to be made to Hospice of Rockingham County.
