Thomas Woody Strader

Ruffin: Thomas Woody Strader, 61, of Ruffin, passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2010.Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 4th at Happy Home Congregational Christian Church Cemetery. Tom was born and raised in Rockingham County. He was a retired tobacco farmer and loved Nascar. He was preceded in death by his parents, Glynton H. Strader and Janie Page Strader. He is survived by his beloved wife of 20 years, Merilla J. Strader; step sons, Terry Compton of Arkansas, Marty Compton and wife, Isabel; step daughters, Leann Muniz and husband, Benny, all of Ohio, Brenda Utter and husband, Jeff of Ruffin; 10 step grandchildren and 11 step great grandchildren; brother, Nathan Strader and wife, Carol; nephew, Jeffrey Strader and wife, Connie; niece, Michelle Strader and husband, Craig; one great nephew and three great nieces , all of Ruffin; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
