Ruffin – Thomas “Cat” Wilson, Jr., 73, of 690 Schoolfield Road, went to be with his Lord, Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at his home. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday November 28th at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bland Leebrick and Rev. Johnny Dyer officiating. Interment will follow in Happy Home Congregational Christian Church Cemetery.A Pittsylvania County native, “Cat” was born July 17th, 1936, son of the late Thomas Jack and Lou Annie Wilson and was a retired electrician at Adams Electric Company.“Cat” had a kind heart and a great personality to match it. He enjoyed many things in life from fishing to hanging out in his produce stand with friends and family. He was an avid farmer and race enthusiast. He also enjoyed spending time with his two companions Roscoe and Missy.Along with his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Floyd Lee ”Jim” Wilson and Robert ”Rab” Wilson; sisters, Dorris Adams, Mary Alice Hernandez and Elizabeth Gauldin.Survivors include his beloved wife of 53 years, Minnie Frances Wilson of the home; daughter Carolyn James and husband, Richard of Reidsville; sons, Keith Wilson and spouse, Sherree of Reidsville, Freddie Wilson and spouse Wanda of Cameron, and Thomas Jeffery Wilson and friend, Suzie Collins; grandchildren, Jr. Caulder and spouse, Dena of Reidsville, Amber and Dalton Wilson of Cameron; great grandchildren, Tangie and Ceadez Caulder of Reidsville; brothers, Johnny Wilson and spouse, Jill of Axton, VA., William Wilson of Eden, James Wilson and spouse, Mary of Bucyrus, MO.; sisters, Dorothy Gauldin of Eden, Patricia Lopez and Spouse, Lorenzo of Reidsville, Rita Palacios of Eden, Cecilia Alaniz and spouse, Ruben of Tinley Park, ILL., Fannie Irene Roach and spouse, Carroll of Ruffin; special friend, Jim Cantrell of Madison.Special thanks go out to Hospice Care of Rockingham County, Annie Penn Cancer Center and Belmont Medical. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. and other times at the home.
