Thressa Land Willis

Reidsville- Mrs. Thressa Land Willis, 90, of Reidsville passed away at Guilford House in Greensboro on Monday, August 22nd, 2016. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday August 24th at Evergreen Memory Gardens with Rev. Jack Land officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Wilkerson Funeral Home. Mrs. Willis was born March 18, 1926 in Rockingham County to the late Jesse James Land and Ellen Rice Land. Thressa was a homemaker and a member of the former Hillview Presbyterian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leldon Lee Willis; brothers, Woodrow Land, Roy Land, Douglas Land, Cleve Land, and Claude Land; and sisters, Mildred Paschal and Shelby Washburn. She is survived by three daughters, Linda Johnson, LaVerne Curtis and husband Butch, Donna Marks and husband Dwight; son, Timothy Leldon Willis and wife Lori; brothers, Benny Land, Rev. Jesse James Land; and sister, Dorothy Easter. Memorials may be made to an Alzheimer’s Association.
