Timothy Eugene Edwards

Timothy Eugene Edwards, 72, of Greensboro passed away on December 26, 2022.

A memorial service will be held at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Saturday, December 31 at 5PM with Pastor Tommy Massey officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and at other times at the residence of Rachel Wright in Greensboro, NC.

Tim was born in Guilford County to the late Richard Edwards Sr. and Mary M Harris. He was a loving father who cherished his family, and was so proud of each and every one of them. He loved a good firework show and especially to have his own show at home. He was an excellent carpenter, fisherman, and gardener and was always willing to share what he had with others. He loved cooking and canning and throwing cookouts for his entire family. He especially loved hosting an annual Brunswick stew and made enough to last family and friends all winter long! Tim was always a jokester, never met a stranger, and told the best stories. He loved spoiling and spending time with his grandchildren, always giving them too much candy for his daughters’ liking. He was truly a joy to be around and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded  in death by his father, Richard Edwards Sr.; mothers, Mary M Harris, and Ima Jean Edwards; first wife, Shelia Mae Edwards; daughter, Brandy LaChele Hyler; brothers, Rick and Wayne Edwards and John Harris.

Tim is survived by his daughters, Tammy Lynn Baggatta (Joseph), Angela Fleming (Jeff), Rachel Wright, Amy Patalano (Nick); second wife and dearest friend, Tammy Edwards; grandchildren, Tara, Kayla, Quinn, Jeffrey, Jaron, Isaac, Steele, Ella, Landon, Blakely, Silas, Finn; great grandchildren, Camet, Holden, Lainey, Brantley, and Baylor; sisters, Becky Edwards, and Debbie Plyler along with a large loving group of extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to assist the family with funeral expenses.
