Timothy James Stewart, died at home in the wee hours of August 21, 2016. He was 55 years old.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Rev. Allen Myers officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship United Methodist Church Cemetery, located at 5222 NC Hwy 150 East in Browns Summit, NC.
Tim leaves behind his wife of 26 years, Lisa Clark Stewart and his son Blake James Stewart. He was predeceased by his grandparents James and Ethel Hundley whom he loved dearly; his father Herbert C. Stewart and his precious son, Scott Stewart. His mother and stepfather Frances and Eddie Roland of Eden survive along with his father-in-law James Harvey Clark of Greensboro; his sister, April Walker and husband Mike; sister-in-law Sharon Wagner; nieces and nephews Jennifer Rico and husband Juan, Justin Terry, Jamie Trent, Isaac Clark and wife Mary Kristen, Jordan Wagner and wife Chasity and numerous cousins and great nephews and nieces.
Tim was an employee of the NC Department of Correction for 13 years as an officer, a canine handler and a sergeant. After leaving the department he worked for Rexam, Inc. for the past 16 years. He recently suffered bad health that prevented him from returning to work.
Tim was a huge NY Yankee fan, a Carolina Panther fan and loved his Carolina Tarheels. He was the best father to his Golden Retriever, Simba and will be missed by more people than can be counted.
Visitation for family and friends will take place Wednesday evening, August 24, 2016 from 6:00 till 8:00 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home; other times at the home.
