Todd Anthony Saunders

Todd Anthony Saunders, 50, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at Dan River Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery on Hwy 700.

Todd was native of Rockingham County and was an employee of Dave’s Construction Services Inc. He lived life on the edge, enjoying wood working, hunting , fishing and spending time with his friends and family. Todd was always the life of the party with his ability to make everyone laugh.

He is survived by daughters Stephanie Saunders, Aaliyah Saunders and London Saunders; his father Cecil Saunders and wife Debra; sisters Michell “Chell” Dillard,  Ginny Price and husband Ted, Kimberly Davis and husband Matthew; brothers Jason Saunders and wife Stacey and Matthew Barrett; step father Jerry Barrett;  9 nieces and nephews and numerous aunts and uncles.

Todd is preceded in death by his mother Alma Gwynn Gatewood Barrett; paternal grandparents Ivor C. and Ruby M. Saunders and maternal grandparents Elmer and Evelyn Dickerson.
