Virginia Grey Gibson

Reidsville: Virginia Grey Gibson, 75, died Monday February 14, 2011 at Wesley Long Community Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, February 17, 2011 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Claude Harrelson and Rev. Jason Reid officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Pallbearers are Logan Gibson, Brandon Gibson, Frankie Chilton, Dalton Tucker, Eric Peoples, Tim Harrelson and Lanny Harrelson.Grey was born in Rockingham County to the late Arthur P. and Emma Sue Paschal. She was a member of Baptist Temple Church. She loved music and sang often and was also an excellent cook. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Alberta Stallings and Nellie Roberts; brothers, Ike Paschal, Ira Paschal and Jimmy Paschal. She is survived by her husband, Benjamin Lee Gibson; sons, Jeffrey Lee Gibson and wife, Faye, Benjamin “Benjy” Arthur Gibson and wife, Annie “Pumpkin”, Nathan Scott Gibson and wife, Jean; daughter, Susan Grey Tucker and husband, David; grandchildren, Kimberly Wilson, Logan Gibson and wife, Jessica, Frankie Chilton, Amanda Gibson, Brandon Gibson and wife, Brittany, Shannon Gibson, Gabrielle Gibson and Dalton Tucker; great-grandchildren, Grayson and Hunter Gibson; sisters, Alene Harrelson and husband, Rev. Claude Harrelson, Inez Harrelson and husband, Sonny, Nancy Peoples and husband, Ronald; numerous nieces and nephews; special cousin, friend and sister-in-law, Mozelle Gibson. The family will receive friends from 7-9PM Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at Wilkerson Funeral Home.
