Virginia "Jenny" Spangler Moore

Virginia “Jenny” Spangler Moore, 74, passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at Gibson House in Reidsville.

Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, March 4th from 4-6 p.m. at Happy Home Church Fellowship Hall. All who knew Jenny are welcome to join us as we celebrate her with a casual atmosphere sharing love and wonderful memories, just like she would have wanted.

Jenny was born on July 5, 1948, to the late Robert Hugee and Irene Evans Spangler in Rockingham County.  She worked as a drapery sewer at Burlington Industries until the plant was closed. She then worked in the lawn & garden department of Walmart in Eden until she retired. Jenny’s passions included playing softball, fishing, camping and going to the beach. She enjoyed spending time with ALL of her family. She and her husband, Mo loved spending time with all the kids at their place in Kannapolis. She loved watching her two granddaughters follow their dreams and recently she loved watching her two great grandbabies play ball out in the yard. She always told them all “be happy”.  “GRANNY” loved BIG and she loved everyone she met. She will definitely be missed.

In addition to her parents, Jenny was preceded in death by her older sister Barbara Spangler Dula and her husband, Larry Dula; brother in law, William Moore.

She is survived by her husband of  32 years, Fernard Rivers Moore; daughter, Ginger Southard, and husband Randy; grandchildren, Paige Isley and husband, James, Annie Anderson and husband, James; great-grandchildren, Lilianna Isley and Weston Isley; sister Nancy Strader (Tommy); in addition to numerous nieces, and other extended family. Sister in law, Celia Flippin.
