Virginia Southard Trotter

Reidsville – Virginia Southard Trotter, 83 of Avante at Reidsville, died on Thursday, August 21, 2008. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, August 24th at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ralph Clayton officiating. The burial will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery. Mrs. Trotter was born in Rockingham County to the late John Henry and Addie Martin Southard. She was a homemaker and attended Covington Wesleyan Church. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Austin Trotter; son, Randy Lee Trotter; granddaughter, Mary Beth Trotter Harris and nine siblings. Survivors include her son, Frank Charles Trotter and wife Becky of Reidsville; daughters, Ann Cox and husband, Mont of Ashboro, Irene T. Bray, Carolyn Starnes and husband, Larry and adopted granddaughter, Missy Trotter Gover all of Reidsville; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home, Saturday evening from 7 to 9 PM. At other times the family will be at Frank’s home, 109 Neal Street.
