Walter E. Allen

Reidsville- Mr. Walter E. Allen, 63, of Reidsville passed away on Wednesday, March 4th, 2015. Mr. Allen was born September 18th, 1951 in Rockingham County to the late Sidney Franklin Allen and Freda Tucker Allen. He was a graduate of North Carolina State University. He was preceded in death by his father, Sidney Allen; brother, Nathan Ross Allen. He is survived by two daughters, Erin Allen of Four Oaks; Lisa Werner, formerly of Asheville; son, Ian Allen of Fuqua-Varina; mother, Freda Tucker Allen of the home; brother, Claude W. Allen and wife, Susan Schmidt of Oak Ridge; one sister, Leann A. Hanks of Summerfield. A graveside funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 7th, 2015 at eleven o’clock at Reidlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Rockingham County, 2150 NC 65, Reidsville, North Carolina 27025. Grief is the last act of love. The key is to maintain hope. And we hope that he is at peace.
