Wanda Edwards Stewart

Reidsville – Wanda Edwards Stewart, 86, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, January 08, 2016. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, January 12, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home. The entombment will follow at Westminster Gardens at 3601 Whitehurst Rd., Greensboro, NC. Visitation will take place two hours prior to the service beginning at 11:00 AM at Wilkerson Funeral Home. Wanda was born in Winston-Salem, Forsyth County July 20, 1929. She retired from Lucent Technology. She was a very giving person and loved by all that knew her. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Wanda was preceded in death by her father, John Leon Edwards and her mother Chaney Chappell Edwards; her brother, Kenneth Edwards; her sisters, Carolyn and Eleanor; her first husband, Asa Webster Griffin, and her current husband, Harvey Ellis Stewart, Jr. She is survived by her children Robert Byron Griffin and his wife, Sheila, John Keith Griffin and his wife, Robin, her daughter Deborah Campbell, a stepson, Harvey E. Stewart III and his wife, Terri of Milledgeville, Ga. She lived her final days with her daughter. She has four grandchildren and five great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. The only surviving sibling is her brother, Billy Sherrill Edwards of Winston-Salem. Memorials and contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4A Oak Branch Dr., Greensboro, NC 27407.
