Wayne Edward Caldwell, Sr.

Wayne Edward Caldwell, Sr., 78, passed away Thursday morning, July 20, 2023, at Cypress Valley Rehab. A celebration of life will be held at Noon, Saturday, July 22, 2023, at Covington Wesleyan Church with the Rev. Ralph Clayton officiating. Committal will follow at Greenview Cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy Davis officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and at other times at the home of his stepdaughter, Stacie Julian, 236 Carter Drive, Eden, NC.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Patricia Caldwell; children, Wayne Caldwell, II and wife, Glenna, Bill Caldwell, II and wife, Teresa, Kim Canady and close family friend Bob Idacavage, and Stacie Julian, and husband, Jason; grandchildren, Holden Caldwell, Gavin Caldwell, William Caldwell, III and Shelby Hamlett, Jordan Lamberth and wife, Charli, Kara McArthur and husband, Caleb; Ashlie Julian and Matthew Julian; great-grandchildren, Tilly Lamberth and Ember McArthur.

Wayne was born in Kansas to the late William and Iona Caldwell.  He served his country in the United States Air Force and was a member of Covington Wesleyan Church.  He retired from Fresenius Kidney Care where he worked as a machine technician. He loved spending time with his family and talking about his military experiences.
